Here's a brief beginning on our presentation:

Main points from our proposal . . .now we need to flesh it out into a 45 minute lecture. We should have access to a projector and can bring a laptop to show examples of data collection techniques as well as data collected.

  • In this session, we will look at several of the tools that are used in Floyd County and how teachers are trained to use these tools.
  • Tools covered in this workshop will include several items: the Educational Information Management System and the data it can provide, PALS test data and how teachers of younger students use this, how Floyd County Public Schools uses the data provided by the Test for Higher Standards (Reports Online System), classroom formative and summative testing, teachers' understanding of qualitative and quantitative assessments including developing daily instructional objectives, using the Classroom Performance System, and the software tools of the ExamView Pro test creation suite.
